- Go to maps.google.com
- Click on “get directions”
- Type “New York” in the first box (the “from” box)
- Type ” Paris ” in the second box (the “to” box)
- Click on “get directions”
- Scroll down to step #24 and see what it says.

I got the same thing. You can actually go from anywhere in the US to anywhere in Western Europe. You actually leave from a port in Boston, so I don’t know why the email says to start in New York. But anyway, for an even more dramatic example, try “Fairbanks, AK” to “Moscow” and see what happens…
