Ava Francis and the JavaJunkee

I don’t think I could’ve possibly had a sillier grin on my face than I do in that picture. It was around midnight after the first day of my first worldwide workshop, and we’d walked all over the french quarter to find a place to eat before finally settling on this hole-in-the-wall grocery store where Ava Francis and her parents listened to Bob Dylan and Paul Simon at incredible volumes. I had my first authentic Po-Boy sandwich and it was delicious enough that I forgot about the cockroach the size of my index finger that I saw in the bathroom before eating.

Here are some more pictures. Enjoy!
