I talked to my manager today, and it is confirmed: I will now be a regular espresso employee, no longer an assistant manager. it’s actually an amazing relief! I feel bad when I think about some of the extra work that I used to do that someone else will have to do, but it’s almost like I’m a real student now, so it’s a worthwhile trade-off.
